Forgotten trainers

Planned to stop at gym on the way home from work today, in fact did stop at the gym on the way home from work today, but then discovered I had left my trainers at home. Oh fiddlesticks I said (maybe!) jumped back in the car and headed home.

Best head out for a run instead. So plan B was to do a ‘quick’ 3 miles this was soon adjusted to a ‘quick’ 2 miles as I discovered energy supplies low due to only having had a banana  since breakfast. It was a struggle but pleased managed a 9.22 average pace, but felt sick at the end.

Shower postponed so I could re fuel on tikka chicken pasta salad. Mmmmmm

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
