As the weather looks like it is on the change we decided to make the most of a supposedly nice day to hit the beach again. This time we went to Lusty Glaze in Newquay. This is a privately owned beach which has the added bonus of being a dog free one. Cornwall is fantastic and the beaches tremendous but they really need to do something about allowing dogs on them, it is hard to find a dog free one. The hygiene of beaches with dogs on them does concern me. Yesterday I spotted a dog doing his thing in the sea and also a full abandoned poop bag, not great with so many children about. Lusty Glaze was great for an hour and Madam was riding the waves right up to the beach, she had the sea to herself for a while, then it got cold, the wind blowing in off the water. I sat huddled in faithful hoodie, with towel wrapped around me. Madam surfaced from the sea (hunger pangs) ate lunch and slowly turned blue. We retired to the changing rooms at the back of the beach so she could get in to warm clothes, then we fled to the flat before hypothermia set in.
This afternoon was spent in the flat chillin’ after warming up. Then wouldn’t you know it the sun came out after dinner and I sit here writing this squinting! Don’t you just love the English weather?
You might notice this is the second day without running, will try to slip out early tomorrow.
hope the good weather continues for you!
Enjoy your run tomorrow 🙂
What – no puns about a beach called Lusty Glaze??? It sounds like a porn star name!!
Aww I love Lusty Glaze. We nearly got married there but had the day after the wedding celebrations there instead. I used the zip wire in my wedding dress! Happy memories
