Two miles only today

Tummy was threatening to cause me a problem today so decided to only do a small run so as not too far away from facilities if needed! Saw a few rabbits and terrorized them in to their holes by thundering by. A quiet overcast morning with perfect temperature for dune running.

Madam’s daily job is to visit the local shop to buy her breakfast and a paper so we can attempt the crossword, it was a hard one this morning but once completed we headed out to St Agnes for an explore. We stopped on the way at St Agnes Head to check out the view and walked along the cliff edge for a way, boy was it windy and boy was it cold.

Supplies were purchased for lunch and taken to the beach where we sat and enjoyed the view. The sun was well and truly out by now so we unpacked the car, and madam put on her wet suit. Three hours later, we dragged her from the sea back to the car.

Newquay was our next stop, where we were thrilled to watch seals following the fishing boats in, in hope of receiving some scraps. We ate lovely fish and chips in a restaurant overlooking the harbour, perfect ending to another great day

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

Sounds bracing ! Have never been to Cornwall (other than when I was three, apparently) but reading your blog am determined to rectify the situation. Wish the weather would improve for you though.
