Rose early (don’t ask) and set out for my run and to witness the sun rise.
In January I ran 155 miles, June I will fall short of that by 10 miles, but then I have done 14 hours in the gym and 76 miles cycling, neither of which I did in January, so am not going to beat myself up about the shortfall. My aim was t0 run and blog every day-check, not to run less than 1 mile on any day-check, not to use treadmill session at gym as Juneathon miles-check. (if I had I would have surpassed my mileage-Doh)
Honestly have not enjoyed June as much as January, but maybe the novelty ran out, not sure but found it all a real struggle.
To the future-I plan on taking a week off running, not to get out of bed before 6 am for a week (no hubby not a month-dream on) and to concentrate on the gym sessions for a while. No races planned as yet. Will I partake in Janathon 2012? Maybe, maybe not!
In the mean time I made us all some Blondies to celebrate, pleae take one and pass them round! Well done to all athoners and all that you have accomplised this month. XX
Congrats… but you enjpyed Janathon more…so you’ll have to do it again!
At the moment its a no, but like childbirth maybe I will forget the pain!
What a great way to celebrate with blondies. I’m sure you deserve a week off too after doing 145 miles. Well done.
Those blondies look decadent & thickly frosted, too — YUM! (or should I say “Scrummy!”??) I am looking forward to trying my first Janathon. Tho it is very cold & snowy here, my work schedule is much lighter that time of year. I wonder if I will have the same feeling as you, that the 2nd time ’round will not be as fun? Only one way to find out 😉 I hope you will be around then… I very much enjoyed your company!
Mmmm… Cheers! Don’t mind if I do. Cracking totals by the way. A lesson in commitment for us all. Well done.
I know what you mean about Janathon. Never again… Til next time.
Yum, yum, yummy… that was one tasty blondie… (oops, there goes another one!!). Enjoy your lie-ins and week off… and WELL DONE!!! 🙂
Sorry you didn’t enjoy Juneathon so much but you should be proud of your exercise totals – 14 hours in the gym and 76 bike miles more than make up for those 10 running miles you didn’t do – well done! 🙂
Those blondies look yummy too…
Well done on all that activity. Treadmill miles count! I’ve certainly enjoyed your Juneathon– great blogging and your commenting is legendary. Hope you enjoy those decadent lie ins until 6 o clock, for a whole week! Luxury…
Well done on your totals, they are terrific. Mind you I am more impressed that you were up to see dawn
I want a Blondie – NOW! Well done. Hope to meet you soon! 🙂
Well done. They look delicious, yum!
Oi! Leave one for me! Enjoy your well deserved week of lie-ins (though only you could consider 6am a lie in) 😉
Ummm, they look delicious! Very well done on an all round great Juneathon effort – fab posts and mileage. I too have found Juneathon a whole lot harder than Janathon, strange isn’t it? Enjoy your week off and your lie in’s – both well deserved 🙂
Sharon….congrats on your persistance!!!! Go SHARON GO!!!! Enjoy your summer!!!!! xoxoxo Diana
