Not a great start to the week

The plan was to do get up early to do some speed work to Audiofuels Thru the Gears. Well I got up early but the legs like my three madam’s refused to do as they were being told. I had wanted to work through the soundtrack twice but only managed once, was not having fun. The legs were revolting (nothing new) something at a guess to do with running everyday for the past 13 days (unlucky for me) to say nothing of the gym sessions and cycling to and from work. Maybe I will take tomorrow off!

Off to get calculator out to check how far to run on my next run to even the tally up.

On the upside run and blog done before 6.35 a.m.

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

    I’m not surprised in the slightest that your legs refused to move… Heeeeeelp! they were screaming… not again! noooooooooo!!!! Well done for forcing them!

  5. Well you have done an absolutley huge amount of mileage… plus the gym! Better take a ‘day off’ (cycle/swim/yoga)? before your legs go on all out stike. Mine are getting millitant but I told them what yours are putting up with!!

    Please – have a lay in tomorrow and go for a walk at lunchtime as your Juneathon bit. You can rest on the 14th day x
