I LOVE poppies and most days cycle or run by a good selection, I don’t think in previous years that they have been this good or varied. Thought I’d share them with you before they are gone.

Aren’t they great? Now before you all think I have lost the plot and forgotten that this is meant to be a running blog not a horticultural one here is todays activities

  • 16:00 Cycled back to school to collect madam from Netball (seat wet due to rain and wore rain coat circa 2006 London marathon just in case it rained -it did not so arrived at school resembling and feeling like a roast in its bag chicken

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

Even in a run blog nice pics are good. Helps us feel less exhausted! 9 miles well done I’m feeling like a slacker!

Wow – 9 miles! Love the pictures, I think they add a certain something!

I adore poppies, though must be a tradtionalist as I like the traditional one best. I do know there are parkruns in Denmark, and Australia too and am mulling about how best to fit them in. Flying to Denmark just for a parkrun would be extreme, even for me.
