After 3 days off the training it was time to get back on track today. The run on the plan was another dreaded ‘steady‘ one, this time 5 miles in 48 minutes, as the one last week was 5 miles in 46 minutes can only think this is a typo, but one I am happy to live with. Set out after dinner and felt very sluggish, can only think this was due to a very large, very delicious piece of sticky toffee pudding that I consumed whilst away! Managed the 5 miles in 46:42 with an average pace of 9:20, not as good as last week but still in range.
Thought I would share a joke with you that my brother text me today, unusually for him it is not in bad taste or offensive! ‘Just had curried pelican at the local Indian, it wasn’t bad, but the bill was enormous’ As Basil Brush would say “Boom Boom”!
