Just a tiny one

Slept in till 5.30!

Went for a very gentle one miler and but on return felt should have gone longer but as I had to leave the house at 6.30 to attack the M25 and QE2 bridge, time was short. The legs approved though and will try longer and harder tomorrow.

Decided to trim toe nails this morning as one toe nail was in danger of slicing the neighbouring toe off. Located safety goggles and retired to the bathroom to do the deed in peace. Managed to complete the task without causing damage to the bathroom walls, only found 7 trimmings when done must try to find the remaining 3 before hubby does!

M25 was good to me and I’ve had spag bol and red cabbage for dinner, now to chill and read the latest issue of my Running magazine. Why is it every issue has a picture of a size 8 woman running on the front, with perfect hair, not a sweat drop in sight and whats more she is smiling-totally unrealistic.

Looks like I’ll be running in the rain in the am first time time this year, must look out old trainers dont want to ruin the new ones

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

Eek, watch out, those toe nail clippings could be anywhere!

I’ve noticed that about (I’m assuming) Runner’s World, no men for ages. I often wonder if they are ‘real’ runners or just models…hmmmm.

  4. hi shazruns

The thing is – those women look too perfect! They can’t be real runners, and yes it does seem like RW have gone for years without a male cover model. Does the cover athlete really sell the magazine that much?! Anyway… Funny post, hope it doesn’t rain on your shoes tomorrow! 🙂

  6. Hels says:

Give us a real woman, not all runners are size 8 and perfect without a drop of sweat!

And mmmm spag bol, I may have some later.
