After Juneathon Lull

Yep I am in a lull and can’t blame a very active June for, as my contribution to Juneathon was weak compared to previous years. Maybe I can blame being busy?

Last week was very exciting as the Olympic Torch came to Chelmsford, we were lucky enough to have it here overnight and madam and I were fortunate to get tickets to the evening event, where there was the torch-

and fireworks

then we got up at 6 am Saturday to see it again in town the next day. Obsessed? Maybe? It was all so very exciting.

To add to this excitement my running buddy turned 50 (she is older in case you are wondering), she had a party and I did the cake:-

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

Very creative cake well done! I was out of town when the torch came here boo. We can both make up for our slothfulness on Saturday…
